The Theatre Cine Fajardo in Icod de los Vinos now has the necessary budget to complete the pending restoration. The Culture department of the Council of Tenerife, led by José Carlos Acha, has agreed with the City Council of Icod to provide two million euros to complete the comprehensive restoration of this cultural space in the City of Drago, in addition to the over 500,000 euros contributed by the City Council.
This funding will now enable the restoration of the amphitheatre, the stage box, the projection room, and the access from San Felipe Street, thus completing the partial renovation process started decades ago. The Councilor for Culture of Icod de los Vinos, Verónica González, expressed gratitude to the councillor for this commitment, which will allow the rehabilitation of the theatre in Icod and “will be key to fulfilling our obligation to offer a stable and high-quality cultural programme“.
