Two visitors from Germany, whose ages have not been disclosed, sustained injuries of varying severity following a fall from a balcony on Tigalate Street, located in the town of Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. This was reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident took place at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Thursday when the 1-1-2 emergency room received a report of the accidental fall of two tourists from a balcony, several meters above ground, at the mentioned address. Cecoes promptly mobilised the required emergency services.
An ambulance equipped for basic life support and another for medical emergencies from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), a physician and a nurse from the Casco-Botánico Health Centre, along with officers from the Local and National Police, rushed to the location.
Upon arrival, the SUC team, accompanied by the doctor and nurse, provided assistance to the injured parties and arranged for their transfer to the Canary Islands University Hospital. One of them sustained severe multiple injuries and was admitted in critical condition, while the other suffered several moderate traumas.
Police services cooperated with the agencies involved.
