Officers from the Civil Guard belonging to the Nature Protection Service (Seprona), in their mission to protect and monitor actions against the Environment, more specifically in protected natural areas, have carried out numerous operations in the Teide National Park during the first quarter of this year resulting in the filing of over a hundred complaints.
The main reason for the administrative infractions committed is the occupation of the park’s lands for vehicle parking, outside of specifically authorized parking areas, in accordance with the provisions of article 5.2.2 of Decree 153/2002, 24th October, approving the Management Plan of the Teide National Park, as well as the General Traffic Regulations.
