The National Police has confirmed this Monday that the search operation for the missing youths since the eighth of March on the coast of El Confital, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, has been extended to the southern coast of Tenerife, specifically between the towns of Abades and El Médano.

Similarly, the police force informs that the operation continues with search efforts to try to find Alejandro and Yassine.

During the past weekend, divers from the Special Underwater Activities Group (Geas) of the Command of Las Palmas of the Civil Guard once again submerged in the waters of LaIsleta. The technicians made dives in areas known as La Vaca, El Becerro, or El Culatón.

Since weather conditions allowed it, divers have encountered crevices up to 30 meters long and depths of over 60 meters during the different dives.

The boys, residents of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, disappeared in an area known as La Hondura, within the restricted military area of La Isleta, while they were going fishing. The truth is that this is an area frequented by fishing enthusiasts as it is a place where abundant catches are possible.

The search operation has involved, in addition to the Geas divers, the patrol boat of the Provincial Maritime Service (SMP), as well as an air unit. There have also been National Police personnel combing the coast from land. The Local Police, on their part, have also collaborated in the tasks coordinated by the Advanced Command Post.
