A paraglider sustains injuries following a descent in southern Tenerife



A 30-year-old paraglider sustained moderate injuries after experiencing a fall in the Taucho region, located in the municipality of Adeje (Tenerife), according to reports from the Emergency and Safety Coordination Centre of 1-1-2 in the Canary Islands.

The incident took place on Sunday afternoon, and Tenerife firefighters promptly responded to the scene, conducting a rescue operation and transferring the individual to the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) ambulance.

SUC personnel confirmed that the victim suffered multiple moderate contusions. Prior to the arrival of the ambulance, a doctor who happened to be in the vicinity provided initial medical assistance. The patient was later transported to Hospiten Sur University Hospital.

Local Police and Civil Guard officers also attended the scene.
