SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 18th Feb (EUROPA PRESS) –

A traffic accident today injured two young individuals, aged 24 and 20, on the Valle Tabares road in the municipality of La Laguna (Tenerife), according to the report from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1- 1-2.

The incident took place just before eight in the morning, when 1-1-2 received an alert about a vehicle catching fire after veering off the road and tumbling down a slope. The occupants managed to escape the car before it burst into flames.

Cecoes promptly mobilised the necessary emergency resources, including two basic life support ambulances from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), members of the Fire Consortium, and the National Police who rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, SUC personnel provided assistance to the two injured individuals and later transported them to the Ntra. Sra. de Candelaria University Hospital. Both sustained various moderate traumas.

Firefighters extinguished the flames while the National Police took charge of the necessary procedures.
