An indefinite strike on the Tenerife tram will commence next Monday. The employees of Metrotenerife are expanding the strikes that began during the Carnival on February 9th with the parade.
The public company, under the Cabildo, stated in a release that vehicles will operate at minimum 80% capacity during the times of strike action. From Monday to Friday, this will be from 7:00 to 9:25, from 13:00 to 15:00, and from 20:00 to 22:00.
The strike committee has planned stoppages during peak service hours on weekdays. Outside of these strike hours, the usual service frequency will resume. Metrotenerife apologises to tram service users for the delays and inconveniences resulting from this strike.
