SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, January 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Diana Morant, stated this Wednesday that the Government is going to “carefully read” the second report from Congressional lawyers that affects doubts about the constitutionality of the Amnesty Law being processed by the Chamber. although he has highlighted that it is “undeniable” that the social situation in Catalonia is better now than in 2017.
In statements to journalists after attending the meeting of the Governing Council of the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands (IAC), he said that there are also two other reports that endorse the constitutionality of the rule.
However, he pointed out that “without going into legal assessments or legal opinions”, the current situation in Catalonia is “radically different” because in recent years work has been done “for coexistence” and to “redirect an extreme situation” from politics since “there was a fracture” between Catalans and also with the rest of Spain.
Along these lines, he has insisted that the Executive wants to “work for coexistence” and achieve social and political “normalization”, work that, in his opinion, “is being a success.”
