Tunisian road
One of the best walking trails to enter Arona and learn part of its history is the Tunisian road. It starts from the neighborhood of the same name along an ascending path, from where you can see old agricultural buildings and uninhabited rural housesuntil reaching the highest area of houses, to begin the zigzagging descent, until connecting with the chijas channel.
During this route, just five kilometers long, you will be able to appreciate the beauty of the landscape, which will transport you to the agricultural past of the municipality.
Suarez Road
Walk the Suarez Road It will take you to bygone times, since it is a goatherd’s and servant’s path that was used by the sharecroppers who lived on the Suárez farm. This rural estate contains a cattle farm and land where wheat, barley and potatoes were grown. Furthermore, it was used by neighbors of Arona and Ifonche to work the land.
