This Friday, January 5, Metrotenerife will activate the special device for Three Kings Eve, offering a double tram service every 10 minutes throughout the day. At night, the double trams will run uninterruptedly with a frequency of 12 minutes until 02:00 in the morning, and then the single units will continue in service every half hour for the rest of the night until the morning of Three Kings’ Day. Saturday January 6th.
Three Kings Eve is usually one of the days with the highest volume of movements in the metropolitan area and that is why the Tenerife Tram will be providing service at its maximum capacity to cover the transportation needs of the population to the commercial and leisure areas.
Friday, January 5, Three Kings Eve: double trams in service throughout the day
Line 1 will operate on Three Kings’ Eve with double trams from the first hour of service. The frequency will be 10 minutes until 10:00 p.m. and then every 12 minutes until 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, Three Kings’ Day. Once this reinforcement is completed, Line 1 will continue to provide service with simple units with the usual weekend schedules.
As in other years, the Weyler stop will cease to be operational from 6:00 p.m. on the occasion of the celebration of the Three Wise Men’s Announcement Parade. Once authorized by the Santa Cruz Local Police, service will be restored on the Weyler section. Thus, during the passage of the Parade, the Weyler stop will be out of service, and the double trams will continue to circulate between the Intercambiador and Teatro Guimerá stops to serve the lower part of the city, and covering the rest of the line from La Paz to La Trinidad in La Laguna.
Regarding Line 2, on Epiphany Eve the trams will have frequencies of 10 and 12 minutes, mainly, until the service ends at midnight.
Saturday, January 6, Three Kings Day: frequencies of 12, 15 and 30 minutes The Tenerife tram will have been in service all night and from 08:00 in the morning the frequency of passage for this festive day will be 12, 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the time slot.
The rest of the weekend the trams will operate with their usual schedules and frequencies, so Line 1 will remain operational on the night of Saturday the 6th to Sunday the 7th like any other weekend.
