SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 29. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The University of La Laguna will close its facilities and services from tomorrow, Saturday, December 30, until Tuesday, January 8, when all academic and administrative activity will be recovered.

In this way, these days the faculties, schools, offices and other resources of the institution will not be available to their users and only authorized access will be allowed, as is the case of laboratories with experiments that need supervision.

During this period, the libraries will also remain closed, but four study rooms will remain open: those in the ULL-CajaCanarias student services buildings on the Anchieta and Guajara campuses; that of the Nautical, Machinery and Naval Radioelectronics Section; and that of the Agricultural Engineering Section. Information about schedules and availability will be updated on the institutional website.

The Electronic Office, the institutional website and the email system will remain operational although without updates, so the processing of any request will be suspended until the reopening on January 9.

As for accommodation, the San Agustín residence hall and the Parque de las Islas Residence Hall remain open, while the San Fernando and Santa María residence halls have closed their doors since December 23 at 4:00 p.m. and will not reopen until Sunday. January 7 at 09:00. In addition, the Vice-Rector for Sustainability and Infrastructure has decreed the closure of the Central Campus parking intended for students during said period.

Starting on Tuesday, January 9, the exam period will begin and will end ten days later, on Friday, the 19th. We will have to wait until Monday, January 22, for the second semester to begin, which will end on May 8.
