The City Council of La Laguna, through the Department of Culture and Festivals, has inaugurated this week the Christmas Square in the central Plaza del Cristo. This meeting point for all laguneros and laguneras will offer throughout these festivities different food and drink stalls, live musical performances, DJ sessions and different leisure activities.

The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, officiated the beginning of this thematic space and visited the different gastronomic stands that already show off their best clothes in the city and offer products dedicated to Christmas, all under the mantle of lights that have already enjoyed by thousands of Laguneros and Tenerife residents on these dates.

For his part, the Councilor for Culture, Dailos González, explained that the square’s musical programming will include daily carol sessions or the musical talent of violinist Ana Obando and artists of the caliber of Agus Llamazares and Dani Ferreiro. Another of the featured concerts will take place on the 3rd, by the group Ni un Pelo de Tonto, all of them free. You can also taste special beers alluding to these dates, mulled wine or chocolate, to sweeten the magical moments that are usually shared on these dates.

The little ones in the house will also have their specific space thanks to the bouncy castles, play areas, activities and environments for practicing different sports disciplines that will be available in the Plaza del Cristo, including a 12 m² geodesic dome, provided by the Clownbaret company.

In the month of December, the Christmas Plaza will be available on the 23rd, 24th, 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st. For the month of January, the doors of this thematic space will open on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5.
