The historic center of San Cristóbal de La Laguna will host the Santa’s Grand Parade, which will also feature the participation of various animated characters, such as Mickey and his friends. The parade will start at 6:00 p.m. on Consistorio Street and will go through Obispo Rey Redondo (La Carrera), Tizón, Herradores, Viana and from there it will return to the starting point, as reported by the City Council’s Department of Culture and Festivals.

Those who come to this Christmas event by vehicle should take into account that some roads in the city will be affected, making it impossible to park or circulate on some of them. “Parking (after 3:00 p.m.) and circulation (after 5:00 p.m.) are prohibited on Herradores, Viana, Obispo Rey Redondo, Consistorio, Plaza del Adelantado and Tizón streets, and on those transversal streets that allow access to them, with alternative detours to circulation,” details the Local Police of La Laguna.

The procession will feature characters from the world of animation, such as Mickey and his friends, magical fairies and reindeer, both on foot and in different vehicles and electric tricycles, and will include distribution of candy and musical and dance groups, all accompanying Santa Claus. , which will go in a classic vehicle. And which, of course, will also include the most mischievous of the Christmas characters, the Grinch.

Added to this novel initiative is the inauguration, last Friday, of a sculpture of more than three meters of Santa Claus in the area of Plaza de La Concepción, thus recovering a tradition lost 50 years ago in the city.
