The mayor of Adeje, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga; The councilor for the Security area, Mercedes Vargas Delgado, and the head of the force, Carlos Francisco Fagundo Almenara, presided over the institutional event on the occasion of the day of the patron saint of the Adeje Local Police, the Virgin of Guadalupe of Mexico. This solemn act was joined by different representatives of civil and political society, as well as other State security bodies and forces.
Throughout his speech, the mayor of Adejero thanked and congratulated the Local Police force for the work they carry out and recalled that the Local Police staff will be increased next year, in addition to continuing to improve both in resources and training. , because according to Rodríguez Fraga “the Adeje Local Police, in the fulfillment of their functions, always goes beyond the call of duty.”
Throughout the event, a balance of the different actions carried out during the period 2022-2023 was read, of which 584 sanctions stand out for non-compliance with classified activities, 45 for street vending and illegal distribution of advertising, etc. In terms of traffic, 7,065 municipal complaint bulletins were sent, which is 19% more than the previous year, another 832 bulletins were sent to the Provincial Traffic Headquarters and 82 to the Mobility Area of the Island Council of Tenerife. In the same area, 5,379 movements were carried out by the municipal crane.
In relation to citizen security, 1,276 complaints were processed, of which 1,151 are related to the consumption of narcotics in public places. Likewise, a total of 176 administrative appearances were processed, 113 proceedings for serious crimes and 317 minor crimes were carried out, as well as 615 judicial reports for different topics. Likewise, 166 quick trials were processed and a total of 57 arrests were made.
In the area of collaboration with the administration of justice, they carried out, among others, 1,956 notifications and collaborated in 15 judicial launches. In the family care group, 107 documents related to the gender violence unit were prepared, among which the referral sheet, letter, procedures, etc. stand out. 270 files were related to minors, 217 of which were sent to specialized social services and 53 to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
