A total of 32 candidates opt to be Queens of the Santa Cruz Carnival 2024

The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through the Autonomous Organization of Festivals, has closed the deadline for receiving registrations to participate in the competitions for the election of children’s and senior Queens of Carnival 2024. A total of 32 applicants will take part in the galas, which will be directed by Daniel Pages.
For the title of Children’s Queen, a contest that will be held on Sunday, January 28, at 6:00 p.m., 13 girls will compete. On this occasion they repeat the same number of candidates that were presented in the last Carnival. While eight will be the number of candidates who will participate in the election of Queen of the Elders, coinciding with the number of candidates from the last Carnival, which will take place on Wednesday, January 31, at 5:30 p.m.
For their part, 11 candidates will star in the adult Queen’s election Gala, which will be held on Wednesday, February 7 at the Fairgrounds, under the direction of Jep Meléndez.
All the candidates will take part on Friday, January 12, in the opening ceremony of the Chicharrero Carnival. In this event, the candidates will know their order of participation in the galas.
