VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), December 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A new canoe with 55 migrants inside docked this Saturday morning directly at the Port of La Restinga, on the island of El Hierro.
According to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112, the occupants of the irregular vessel were assisted by the usual medical device in these cases without requiring any transfer to the hospital.
This is the third irregular boat to arrive in the Canary Islands in the last few hours after a canoe with 56 migrants arrived last night under its own power at Playa del Inglés (Gran Canaria); and that Maritime Rescue intercepted a boat with 55 migrants in waters near Arrecife (Lanzarote).
