SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The storm that affects the Canary Islands and has forced the declaration of a rain alert on the islands of Tenerife and La Palma has caused various incidents since Thursday afternoon, especially water drainage and landslides, sources from 112 Canarias report.
Thus, in Tenerife there have been several drains of water in homes and sewers in the municipalities of Adeje and Granadilla, problems with the power lines in San Miguel de Abona, Granadilla de Abona, Icod de Los Vinos and San Juan de La Rambla, stones on the roadway in Arona and Santiago del Teide and vehicles in trouble in Arona have also had to be attended to.
In the case of La Palma, the emergency services have had to carry out water drainage in Los Llanos de Aridane and deal with landslides on five roads, while in La Gomera there have also been landslides on the GM-1 that connects Vallehermoso and Valle Gran Rey.
