The residents of the town of Saint Andrew celebrated yesterday, Wednesday, November 29, the eve of the festivities in honor of their patron saint, with the traditional mass of the St. Andrew’s Eve and that began at 8:00 p.m. as scheduled in the activities of the fishing village festivals.
The councilor responsible for the Anaga district, Gladis de León, participated in the commemorative events, which began with the celebration of the Eucharist, and then proceeded to the usual procession of the image of the Holy Apostle through the main streets of the town. The day ended with a pyrotechnic display.
De León took the opportunity to congratulate the organizers for the work carried out so that the San Andrés neighborhood, and all those who come to the town during these dates, can enjoy extensive programming for the family.
The festivities will continue this weekend with the celebration on Friday, December 1, of the Young Festival in the Plaza de la Iglesia, with performances by Renzzo El Selector and Rubén Raveloa. And the next day, Saturday the 2nd, at 11:00 p.m. the traditional festival will begin in the Plaza de la Iglesia, enlivened by Grupo La Clase Apart and La Wamampy.
