About 120,000 people enjoy La Noche en Blanco in La Laguna

The White Night of La Laguna It returned, once again, to crowd the streets of the town yesterday with thousands of people. Specifically, some 120,000 people, according to the latest estimate given by the Local Police to 9:00 p.m., throughout the day they enjoyed 15 hours of activities of all kinds and for everyone, from children and families in the morning to different concerts at night with the stellar performances of Marta Sánchez, Carlos Baute and Mercheand under the lights of the newly inaugurated Christmas lighting.

This fifteenth edition started at 11:00 a.m., and in good weather, on the stage located in the La Concepción squarewith the official opening ceremony by the mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, together with councilors from the local Consistory, which later gave way to the show El circo del Payaso Tallarín by the Cantajauego company, which excited the boys, girls and families who filled and to the square and its surroundings at that time of the morning.

“It is a day full of enthusiasm, of activities for the youngest, for the elderly, to enjoy our city, decorated since yesterday [viernes] with the lights,” the mayor highlighted at the start of the day. “From the City Council we are encouraging commerce, that there is an economic injection in all the commerce of La Laguna and we see that the participation is being wonderful,” added the Councilor for Commerce, Leticia Villegas.
In fact, according to subsequent data from the City Council, more than 60,000 people enjoyed the activities scheduled in the first part of the day. “The best news is that no notable incidents have been recorded and the behavior of the citizens displaced to the streets of La Laguna has been exemplary,” highlighted the mayor.

And from early in the morning a large number of people could already be seen in the streets, shops and restaurants, trying to get one of the coveted tables for breakfast or tapas. With points that were a success in attendance, such as the children’s attractions that were installed around the Cathedral Square, and especially the ice skating rink, which gathered queues from the moment it opened, and which was also They repeated it in the show La Laguna Jurassica, in the Plaza del Hermano Ramón.

Without a doubt, the little ones in the house were the stars of the morning of La Noche en Blanco, with a large number of activities for them throughout the center, from sports, traditional games, interactive, artistic, to a display of superheroes, castles inflatables and performances for children and young people, among many others.

Meanwhile, the Plaza de la Junta Supremo hosted the Inclusive Area, with workshops, talks, games, giant chess and many activities especially designed to serve all diversities and where the performance of the well-known rapper El Langui stood out. Likewise, the motor world was present in the Plaza del Cristo, and the Plaza del Adelantado hosted a Gastro Plaza.

The morning also had a prominent space for the commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25N), with the reading of four manifestos and the show Violetas. Additionally, three Violet Points were placed in strategic locations in the city.

The afternoon-evening gave way to a more adult audience, who could enjoy a very musical menu with many options for all tastes and until dawn, spread over three areas that brought together a large number of people. Thus, the Popstar stage, in the La Concepción area, offered performances by Carlos Baute, Merche, Blas Cantó, K-Narias, Miriam Reyes, Neo Pinto and Nia Correia.

Meanwhile, the Retro stage, intended for lovers of eighties and nineties music and located in the Court parking lot, featured Marta Sánchez, Eric Böelle, Barco a Venus (Tributo a Mecano), Los Coquillos and Puretas Party’s. And finally, the Los40 Sostenibles stage, in Plaza del Cristo, had El Vega Life, Bombai, Mel Ömana, Renzo El Selector, J. Ramos, Dellacruz and Aridian.
