Linares also said that on these dates more than 200,000 people are expected to visit La Orotava. These are the main events planned for these Christmas dates:

The Christmas program of La Orotava starts tomorrow, Friday (7:30 p.m.) with the inauguration of the nativity scene in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, one of the largest in the Canary Islands and which represents the old Hebrew market with about 25 stalls. The Christmas lighting will also be switched on. The party will move to the Plaza de la Constitución, where the traditional event of tapas with chestnuts will take place on the occasion of the festival of Saint Andrew. The protagonists will be the wine, the chestnut tastings, the music in straight from Magec and workshops for the little ones.
