SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Minister of Mobility of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Eulalia García, reported this Tuesday that in the first week of application of the shuttle buses plus reinforcements from the North to the University of La Laguna, a total of 54,625 passengers have been registered — taking into account that Wednesday, November 1 was a holiday– while in the second week, with its five working days, there has been a total of 60,547 passengers.

This represents an increase of 4,658 more passengers than in the week prior to having shuttles and reinforcements, an 8.33% increase in the number of passengers, it states in a note.

The reinforcements and new shuttles came into operation last October.

Thus, the ‘Lanzadera ULL 606’ line connects the Icod de los Vinos Station with the Guajara Campus Lecture Hall, with stops in Buen Paso, La Uvi, Santa Catalina, El Cubo, Enlace de Los Realejos, Enlace de La Orotava, Coromoto, Faculty of Economics and Classroom.

This route departs from Icod station at 6:30 a.m. and returns from the university campus at 2:45 p.m.

In addition, Titsa has launched the ‘ULL 608 Shuttle’ from Los Realejos to the Aulario de Guajara with stops at Avenida de Canarias, Los Barros, Enlace Los Realejos, Enlace Orotava, Coromoto, Faculty of Economics and Aulario.

The departure from the Mencey Bencomo square in Los Realejos is at 6:50 a.m. and returns from Guajara at 2:45 p.m.

Both shuttles share a stop at the Los Realejos link, which increases the mobility options for users in the northern part of the island.

Titsa also adds new trips in both directions to line 100 –Puerto de la Cruz, through the Botánico – TF-5 Highway – Santa Cruz – Intercambiador–, as is the case with lines 102 and 103 (Intercambiador Santa Cruz de Tenerife -Cross port).

CHANGE OF SCHEDULES

Line 106 (Icod-Santa Cruz direct) also changes its schedules to have more offer combined with the schedules of line 108 (Icod – Los Realejos – La Orotava – TF-5 – La Laguna – Santa Cruz), which modifies its schedules on weekdays to give more frequencies to travelers combined with the 106.

In the southern part of the island, Titsa also strengthens several services such as line 447 (Los Cristianos-Costa Adeje-Adeje (Las Torres), 470 (El Médano-Costa San Miguel-Las Galletas-Los Cristianos) and 473 (Los Cristianos -Costa Adeje-Callao Salvaje-Los Gigantes Station) and 483 (Los Cristianos-Costa Adeje-Callao Salvaje-Los Gigantes), which adds trips and changes schedules to improve connectivity.

In addition, night line 420 (Los Cristianos-Vale San Lorenzo) has been integrated into line 418, allowing passengers to travel between Costa Adeje Station and Valle San Lorenzo during the day and reinforcing the Los Cristianos-Valle San connection. Lorenzo at night with more trips.

The reinforcement of lines and shuttles is part of the package of 20 measures to improve and achieve sustainable mobility, among which is the lowering of the travel limit for free transport from 15 to 10 trips.
