Santiago del Teide presents the commemoration events of the 114th anniversary of the eruption of the Chinyero volcano

The Santiago del Teide City Council has presented the program of events for the event “‘Chinyero-114’, through which it is intended to commemorate the eruption of the aforementioned volcano – which this year turns 114 years old – with a detailed program of activities that will take place from Tuesday, November 14 to Sunday, November 19.

This programming will begin this Tuesday the 14th, Wednesday the 15th and Thursday the 16th with the talks on the educational program “Canary Islands: a volcanic window in the Atlantic” that will take place every day starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Tamaimo Social Center.

On Friday, November 17, starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Chinyero Visitor Center, the Tigaray folklore group will put on the show “Tigaray de Calle.” On Saturday, November 18, starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Chinyero Visitor Center, the Santiago del Teide Folklore School will stage the musical-theatrical show called “Cherfe.”

On Sunday, November 19 at 9:00 a.m., VII Route of the Volcanoes which will have limited places and registration must be done through the website www.elcardon.com. At 11:00 a.m., departure from the different towns to pray for the images of Santa Ana, the Virgen del Pilar and Santo Domingo de Guzmán in the direction of Calvario de Las Manchas where the Holy Mass and fraternal lunch will take place.
