TENERIFE GASTRONOMIC FAIR |  El Rosario triumphs with its sixth gastronomic fair

The Gastronomic Fair Taste El Rosario registered yesterday a high level of influx. This sixth edition It can be considered as the consolidation of a meeting that vindicates the value of the local product and the cuisine of the place as a claim and driving factor of the activity, the employment and the economy of the municipality.

From 11:00 until after midnight, Thousands of neighbors and visitors came to the Plaza del Adelantado, in La Esperanza, to enjoy thirteen hours in which food and wine were the focus of this gastronomic fair, which has companies as main sponsors Montesano, Egatesa and El Gusto por el Vino.

Throughout the day, in the tent set up in the square, dozens of restaurateurs offered their most representative tapas and farmers exhibited and sold local agri-food products. The winners received the prizes from the potato omelette and Canarian dessert contests.

Lots of people, “much more than in previous years.” At any stall, visitors waited to taste the tapas and dishes, especially that of The Roots Tasca – specializing in Argentine barbecue – which recorded a longer wait.

Cooking workshops, hamburgers, bag making and trompe l’oeil; ham cutting demonstrations; Activities for minors, music and dances were not lacking. As in the previous edition, the day concluded with a performance by Ni 1 Pelo de Tonto.
