He Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Councilthrough the Autonomous Organization of Festivals and Recreational Activities, OAFAR, revealed the poster announcing the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2024 with a festival in the Plaza del Príncipe. “+Carita TV” is the title of the proposal presented by Aron Morales Perezwhich has been proclaimed the winner after obtaining the highest score in the dual voting system.

Bermúdez confirms that “a total of 11,509 valid votes were cast in the popular consultation”; in an edition “that exceeds those registered in the previous year by 3,110 votes.”

The winning poster achieved a score of 7.83 from the professional jury that made the preselection among the 16 works finally sent to the OAFAR and which represented a weight of 60% in the final ranking. Popular support was 24.5% of the 11,509 votes cast through the portal www.carnavaldetenerife.comwhich means 2,820 endorsements that make him the winner with a total score of 17,623.

During the popular consultation, which was open between 8:00 a.m. on October 2 and 11:59 p.m. last Friday, October 20, only one vote per IP address was allowed. Throughout the entire process, the vote remained blind, that is, without references to the author or the support that each of the posters were collecting.

The professional jury appointed by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, through OAFAR, was made up of the two-time winner of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife carnival poster and designer of the set design for the 2024 edition, Nareme Melián; the Queen of the 2023 Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Adriana Peña; the illustrator and specialist in printing and engraving, Patricia Delgado; the president of the Valkirias rondalla, Vicky López and the designer and illustrator, Iván Retamas.

The total score of the other nine preselected works, including jury and popular vote, were as follows: Look Mom, I’m on TV! (13,824); Don’t change the channel, Carnival has arrived (12,043); Experience the Carnival of my heart on television (10,667); Prime Time Gala (9,615); Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2024 (8,720); Adjustment Letter (7,347); Live: signal of the Carnival of postmodernity (5,452); Tune In (5,073) and Colored Bits (4,636).
