SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Gustavo Matos, has expressed his discomfort to the Government of the Canary Islands for the absence of several advisers in the control session to the Executive, forcing the plenary session to be suspended for a few minutes.
The control session had only included the interventions of the Minister of Social Rights, Noemí Santana, and the Minister of Health, Blas Trujillo, and was suspended momentarily at the time that the Minister of Education, Manuela Armas, had to intervene, absent due to being in a traffic jam.
In a complaining tone, Gustavo Matos stated that the Chamber “makes an effort to adapt parliamentary activity to the needs and urgencies of the Government, but there are issues that are obviously not very gratifying when it comes to continuing with parliamentary activity.”
For this reason, he asked the Government of the Canary Islands to “be reciprocal in the effort made by the Chamber to be able to maintain the plenary sessions with an activity and a rhythm that is correct and corresponding”.
