The City Council of La Laguna has condemned the acts of vandalism recorded this week in the facilities of the La Majada park, located in the town of Tejina. Municipal workers are already working on repairing the damage caused to return this space to normal as soon as possible.

The mayor of The lagoon, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, regretted the incident and “the lack of civility of some people who attack the lagoon heritage.” In addition, he recalled that “the replacement work that this type of actions entails represents public spending that could be allocated to other essential services.”

For his part, the Councilor for the Environment and Municipal Services, Ángel Chinea, specified that the most significant damage was recorded in the walls that delimit this park and protect the existing vegetation in the area, in addition to other damage to the existing furniture.
