The Los Brezos recreational park, the subject of works to condition the facility

Work to recondition the Los Brezos recreational park began this Monday. The work, which has an execution period of two months, requires a municipal investment of 107,777. The action will provide the venue with more security, optimize elements and spaces of this iconic place for candle holders and will resolve deficits detected by users.

The mayor of CandelariaMari Brito explains that the refurbishment of Los Brezos “addresses several important needs. We are going to restore security elements, such as the wooden railings, which time and acts of vandalism have damaged; We will improve the children’s area, to offer minors a safer and more fun space; we will work on accessibility, ensuring that all people, including those with reduced mobility, fully enjoy this park; and the public baths will be restored and improved for the comfort of all visitors.

Maeva Tendero, Councilor for the Natural Environment, highlights that the Los Brezos recreational park “is a place very loved by the residents of the municipality, especially Araya.” L edil maintains that “this investment is a sign of our commitment to this emblematic space and everything it has to offer. Los Brezos will become an even more special place.

Last week the Punta Larga Community Table was held, in which residents shared issues of interest to the area. One of them was the election of name that will have the pedestrian promenade that connects Rambla Los Menceyes and Mencey Adjona street. During the Community Table, Olivia Pérez, Councilor for Social Services, shared information about the beginning of the drafting of the III Municipal Equality Plan.

Other pending issues were also addressed, such as the cleaning of the Barranco Los Guirres, as well as minor repairs to fences and stairs, in addition to showing concern about the lack of cleanliness and civility. The interest in obtaining information on how to access aid for the installation of solar panels and the requirements to join the Candelaria Energy Community, a project in development, was highlighted.
