Suits, rings, innovative ideas… The Fairgrounds of Santa Cruz Tenerife From this Friday to Sunday it hosts the Feboda fair, which is now in its 17th edition. Celebrate in style is the motto of an event in which 60 companies participate and which is expected to receive around 5,000 people. It is an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in this sector or even organize a wedding.
«It is a fair that has gone through many vicissitudes, but that has survived», highlighted the island counselor of Industry and Commerce, Manuel Fernandez (PP), at the presentation ceremony. “In the Cabildo we are very fond of the productive fabric,” said the conservative representative, before highlighting the “great talent” of the wedding sector.
The president of Tenerife was also present at the event, Rosa Davila (CC), who highlighted that this event “It is a sign of vitality and dynamism of the wedding industry on our Island,” while encouraging everyone “to learn about the diversity of options and styles you will find here.” He added that “in this event it is not only possible to plan a perfect wedding, but you can also enjoy creativity in every step of the process to have an unforgettable moment.”
Actors from the sector and fashion lovers did not miss an event that began with a parade. Specifically, Feboda welcomes the participation of five companies from the Tenerife Moda collective, who will show their proposals to the public on the catwalk and in the different stands of the Fairgrounds. These are Amarca, José Acosta Style, Marco&María, Tempus by Cristo Velázquez and the Insular Crafts Company.
Precisely Amarca She was in charge of inaugurating the Feboda catwalk. «In this bridal space, Amarca presents her new bridal and party collection under the title Love dreams. It is an ode to femininity in which white magic covers the roses of a garden full of elegant designs and ethereal silhouettes,” they explained from the island institution.
The designer-led firm Sergio López and Ithaisa García “bet on long or short dresses in which she leaves her identity latent through silks, organza and chiffon, and in which tulle regains a fundamental role.” They are “designs that play between transparencies and ruffles to give movement to each garment, silhouetting the figure of the woman in perfect harmony with exquisite details.”
Today, new act on the catwalk. It will be the turn of the designer’s signature José Acosta Style. The creator will show his new men’s ceremonial collection in a fashion show that will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the central nave of the capital’s Fairgrounds.
For its part, the Island Craft Company of the Cabildo of Tenerife, In collaboration with the Tenerife Clothing Sector Council, it is also present at Feboda with an exhibition that recreates the evolution of the island’s traditional wedding dresses from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century. The exhibition includes, along with several mannequins and information panels, different traditional pieces of popular fashion in Tenerife, as well as the uses and customs of the popular classes. The exhibition can be visited at stands 422, 424, 521 and 523 at Feboda.
