He Tenerife Council plans to open the newly built roundabout at the island road TF-652, located in Guargacho, which crosses the municipalities of San Miguel de Abona and Arona. This route is essential, connecting Las Chafiras with Las Galletas and providing access to Costa del Silencio, Las Rosas, Guargacho and Oroteanda Baja. The investment allocated to this work amounts to a budget of half a million euros.

The Minister of Highways, Dámaso Arteaga, has expressed in a statement that the opening of this new roundabout will significantly improve access to the industrial area. Furthermore, he stressed that this infrastructure will play a crucial role in optimizing mobility and traffic safety in the region.

The project is scheduled to be completed in January, and will continue with the installation of public lighting, the implementation of new barriers and the improvement of sidewalks and pedestrian areas, according to the institution.

It is important to remember that the Tenerife Cabildo continues working on improvements for the TF-652 and TF-653 roads. For TF-652, work will be carried out that includes the partial elimination and renewal of the pavement, as well as the improvement of road safety by widening the shoulders, specifically at kilometer point 5.35, known as La Estrella.

As for the TF-653, which connects Guargacho and Palm-Mar, in addition to improving the pavement, it is planned to widen the shoulders and install metal safety barriers, especially necessary to prevent accidents with detours towards significant slopes.

Dámaso Arteaga has asked for understanding from the users of the road that crosses Palm-Mar, since the work in this section is being carried out with traffic light regulation and requires patience until its completion.
