The promoter of the tourism project Cradle of the Soul announced this Friday that it will study possible legal actions against the order of work stoppageconsidering that it has acquired rights by having “all the necessary urban and environmental licences”.
Given the precautionary suspension of the works announced by the Ecological Transition Council of the Government of the Canary Islands, the promoter of the Puertito de Adeje tourist project has confirmed that it has received this Friday the official notification related to this stoppage, which its legal services are analyzing.
Subsequently, he adds, the company will make the appropriate allegations and will study the possible legal actions to be taken in defense of the rights acquired “during these years” by having “all the necessary urban and environmental licenses by all the competent administrations”.
The promoter affirms regarding the appearance of the plant species called “Viborina triste” that on August 30 the location of “this new species” was reported, it indicates, and of which it indicates that it was not included in the approved Environmental Report by the Government of the Canary Islands as part of the Environmental Impact Statement because there was none in 2018.
“This species had not been detected before the urbanization works began,” reiterates the promoter, who assures that after its location, she immediately proceeded to make a formal request for its correct treatment.
Meanwhile, work was suspended in those areas where their presence has been detected, pending receipt of the corresponding permit requested from the Government of the Canary Islands, adds the promoter of Cuna del Alma.
