Today, Saturday, the GES helicopter rescued a hiker who was in a state of dehydration and with minor injuries between La Degollada and Barranco de Güigüi, in the municipality of La Aldea de San Nicolás, in Gran Canaria, according to the Center. Emergency and Security Coordinator (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The rescue began around 4:20 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operational room received an alert reporting that a hiker was in trouble and injured in the indicated area and could not leave the ravine, so Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
The GES helicopter traveled to the scene of the incident and after locating the affected person, proceeded to rescue him and transfer him to the El Berriel helipad, where an ambulance from the SUC was waiting for him, which assessed him and provided him with the first assistance and then transferred him. to the Insular University Hospital.
