The northern Tenerife highway link reopened to traffic at the height of the Cuesta de la Villa

The Cabildo of Tenerife has reopened in the afternoon of this Friday he link of the northern highway of Tenerife (TF-5) at the height of the Cuesta de a Villa, in the municipality of Santa Úrsula. It is one of the measures of the extensive package of public projects launched in Tenerife to reduce queues on the TF-5.

This road remained cut since last August due to plays of improvement in intersection with TF-217 and the construction of a roundabout.

He highway advisorDámaso Arteaga explained this Friday that the aim of the works is gain fluidity on the roadfacilitating circulation at the intersection and reducing the risk of accidents on a road on which an average of 3,530 vehicles per day.

It is one of the measures of the extensive package to end retentions in the TF-5

The work will allow for a roundabout circular of approximately 30 meters outer diameterwith three branches that will save drivers the time they currently lose due to traffic jams.

He budget of this work reaches 597,219 eurosof which the Cabildo will contribute 75 percent and the rest will be provided by the Santa Úrsula City Council. The works will finish in the month of December.
