SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife will carry out improvement works on the TF-421 which will allow the direct connection of the municipalities of Garachico, Los Silos and Buenavista del Norte with the island ring.
This was conveyed by the president of the insular corporation, Rosa Dávila, to the mayor of Garachico, José Heriberto González, who made an institutional visit to the Cabildo this Thursday.
Rosa Dávila highlighted the importance of the meeting to address the projects that concern Garachico.
“We have discussed a very important issue such as access to the island ring through the TF-421. We are already drafting the project and we are going to work from the Roads area to be able to finish it as soon as possible because it would be very interesting for a project like that of the island ring,” he points out in a note.
Among other projects, the president of the Cabildo stressed the importance of the actions necessary for the Historical Complex of Garachico.
“This is a Historical Complex of enormous value that must be protected and promoted so that commercial and tourist life can be created and that allows quality of life for the inhabitants of the municipality of Garachico and also of Isla Baja,” he explains.
For his part, José Heriberto González thanked the Cabildo for its willingness to review all the demands of the municipality of Garachico and even the entire region.
“The president has conveyed to us her efforts to be able to solve historical problems in a region far from the metropolitan area,” says the councilor, who also highlighted that it is necessary to improve mobility in the Historic Complex because “a road of general interest passes through there as it is a regional road and it is a historical complex that is very visited by tourists.
In addition, other projects of interest were addressed such as the actions in the centers of Caleta de Interián, El Guincho, paving of several streets, improvement of the sanitation network related to the Isla Baja treatment plant and actions in the mountains in the area of interface for fire protection.
