The Elderly Festival of the Christ of La Laguna Festival will this year feature the presence of Maria del Monte. The event, which pays tribute to the elderly people of the municipality, takes place today on the main stage of the festivities located in the Plaza del Cristo.
The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, pointed out that “this year’s program, in addition to being diverse and aimed at all ages, is bringing important names to La Laguna, which place the municipality as a reference on the cultural map of the Archipelago. ”.
Likewise, he highlighted that this festival “will serve to honor the great work of all the older people who have contributed to making this municipality great.”
For his part, the Councilor for Culture and Festivals, Dailos González, expressed his satisfaction at having an artist like María del Monte in a festival already enshrined in the Christ festival program. Today’s day will conclude at the Leal Theater with the fortieth Choral Encounter, Manuel Hernández Martín.
