SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 7 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Regional Confederation of Associations of Mothers and Fathers of Canary Islands Students (ConfapaCanarias) have demanded this Thursday that public administrations articulate an alternative for 2-year-old Early Childhood Education students who will not be able to start classes normally this school year due to not having the necessary and planned infrastructures in the planning of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports.
“We urgently request that an alternative response be articulated to these families who had their enrollment confirmed and their lives planned as of next Monday. This incident especially affects mothers who had their sons and daughters schooling to join the market labor”, they pray in a note from the organization.
Thus, ConfapaCanarias proposes that the Ministry of Education seek alternative resources in coordination with city councils and private nursery schools to guarantee that students receive the committed educational attention until they can join their reference centers.
The organization also considers that all “appropriate explanations” must be given, with detailed data on the situation and forecast of each center.
Given that the teaching teams and auxiliary personnel to care for these students were appointed and incorporated into the centers, it is also necessary to explain what functions will be assigned to them in the absence of the students, it indicates.
ConfapaCanarias also regrets that the Ministry of Education has informed the directors of the affected educational centers, but not the families, “despite the commitment of the counselor to maintain an open and fluid channel of communication with the organizations representing the families “.
