The Cabildo de Tenerife calls for maximum precaution to prevent fires during the heat wave

The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, appealed to the population of Tenerife to take extreme precautions in the face of the episode of high temperatures that will affect the island from this Thursday, August 10, and will last several days.

“On Thursday we will evaluate the situation to determine what measures are going to be taken, but until then we must appeal to the population to be very attentive to the notifications and restrictive measures by the Cabildo that may derive from this episode of high temperatures and carefully follow all the recommendations of the administrations and the restrictions that may occur in terms of traffic on trails or roads ”, indicated Rosa Dávila.

In the face of the episode of high temperatures, it is recommended to take extreme precautions, throughout the island territory, with any activity that can generate fires (tobacco, use of generators, electrical and pyrotechnic equipment, etc.) and to be attentive to the information that is issued in the next few days by the Cabildo de Tenerife or by 1-1-2 Canarias.
