On July 22 and 23, a new edition of the Camino de Santiago was developed, Ruta Jacobea Tinerfeña 2023 in which a large group of people participated as pilgrims making the traditional route, which every year starts from the Parish of Santiago Apóstol de Los Realejos through the municipalities of San Juan de la Rambla, La Guancha, Icod de los Vinos, Garachico and El Tanque to, finally, culminate in the Hermitage of the Apostle Santiago, located in Valle de Arriba.

Thus, during the first day of the tour and after leaving from the Parish of Santiago Apóstol de los Realejos, the pilgrims passed through such emblematic places as Realejo Alto-Mirador de La Corona-Los Campeches-El Lagar-Vista de San Felipe-Cueva de la Hiedra-Coladas del Volcán de Garachico-San José de Los Llanos, passing along forest tracks, trails, traditional roads and some asphalt stretches .

As for the second day, the departure was made early in the morning from the Plaza de San José de Los Llanos, to arrive, around 10:30 a.m., at the end point of the route, which is the Hermitage of the Apostle Santiago in Valle de Arriba and the subsequent transfer of the Santiago Pilgrim to the Mother Church in Santiago del Teide where a mass for pilgrims was celebrated.
