Tamaimo will imminently revive its Festivities in Honor of Santa Ana 2023

The town of Tamaimo is preparing for the imminent celebration of its Festivities in Honor of Santa Ana 2023, which will be held from Tuesday, July 25 to Sunday, July 30, with an extensive program of liturgical acts and recreational activities for all ages.

Thus, said celebration will begin on Tuesday, July 25, starting at 6:00 a.m. with the traditional ringing of bells and a rain of flyers announcing the start of the festivities. Subsequently, the streets of the town will host a parade by the Santiago del Teide Fanfare and the Batucada of the Tamaimo Neighborhood Association, highlighting that it will be from 10:00 a.m. when the arrival of the Radio Curbelo teams will take place, which will liven up the festivities.

In the same way, it will be from 4:00 p.m. when the final phase of the 1st Edition of the “David El Bicho” Domino Tournament will take place, at Bar Tamay, while, at 5:00 p.m., the final phase of the 3rd Edition of the “Cheo Bonifacia” Betting Tournament will begin, in Plaza Santa Ana de Tamaimo; while, at 9:30 p.m., the Holy Mass in honor of Santa Ana will begin, officiated by the Pastor D. Julián Azcárate and sung by AF Tinixara from La Matanza. Next, a procession of the revered image accompanied by the Municipal Band of Santiago del Teide, authorities and faithful along the usual route, which will also include a fireworks display by Hermanos Toste from Los Realejos. Finally, starting at 11:00 p.m. you can enjoy a Great Verbena that will be performed by the Malibú Band Orchestra, Maikel Jiménez and the Arguayo Band Orchestra.

On Wednesday, July 26, for its part, the great day of the patron saint will be celebrated, and it will do so starting at 12:00 p.m. with the beginning of the Holy Mass officiated by Mr. Julián Azcárate and sung by the Las Candelas de Candelaria choir, noting that, then, the procession of the venerated image of Santa Ana will take place, accompanied by the Municipal Band of Santiago del Teide and Banda de San Sebastián de Tejina, authorities and faithful, highlighting that, during the course of it, Dulce Barrios will sing. It will not be until 9:00 p.m. when the Santa Ana 2023 Grand Gala begins, which will be presented by Elvis Sanfiel and will feature stellar performances by: Ledes Díaz, Shaila Dúrcal, Francisco and Lucrecia. At the end of it, attendees will be able to enjoy a festival by Grupo Paraíso.

On Thursday, July 27, at 11:00 a.m., the youngest of the town will have a day of the most fun in the Tamaimo public square with bouncy castles and water attractions, although it will be at 5:30 p.m. when the Children’s Festival begins, presented by Edi and which will feature the traditional Hi-Fi Scale with the boys and girls of the town, the “Guepardos Azules” dance group and a performance by Güicho. Starting at 11:00 p.m., the Great Youth Party of Tamaimo 2023 will take place, which will feature performances by Adam Lorr, Chris Hernández, Fabrizio Salgado, Josué Leoni, 8Smile and Renzzo El Selector.

As for Friday, July 28, starting at 5:30 p.m., the Taifas Grand Ball will take place, which will be presented by Tina León and Jaime Hernández and will feature performances by A.F. Tayme, AF Raíces de Santiago del Teide, AF Araza, Parranderos de Tágara and the Dance Workshops of Santiago del Teide. Finally, it will be at 11:00 p.m. when the Great Festival on Friday takes place, which on this occasion will feature the Guaracha Orchestra, Rafael Flores “El Morocho” and the Dorada Band Orchestra.

On Saturday, July 29, starting at 11:30 a.m., there will be a meeting with the best parrandas on the island, which will entertain all the bars in town; although from 1:30 p.m. the arrival of the parrandas will take place at the Plaza -as well as the arrival of the group of walkers “La Cruz” at the Santa Ana Church, whose tour will begin in Garachico- and a great paella for all attendees, by Fermín Mesa and accompanied by the musical performance of the Grupo La Quincena. At the end, dance enlivened by Luis Deseda. It will not be until 5:30 p.m. when the First Edition of the “Óscar García” Basketball Tournament will take place, in the Asencio José Trujillo Fleitas Pavilion, in Tamaimo, while at 10:00 p.m. the Great Verbenazo of Tamaimo 2023 will begin, with performances by Orquesta Maraury, Orquesta Sabrosa, Edwin Rivera, Grupo La Calle and the Orquesta Maquinaria Band.

Finally, on Sunday, July 30, starting at 5:00 p.m., the “Santa Ana 2023” Futsal Tournament will begin at the Asencio José Trujillo Fleitas Pavilion, in Tamaimo. At 9:30 p.m. the Grand End of the Holidays Gala will take place, with the musical show Voces en la Distancia and with the special collaboration of Isabel González and Chago Melián. During the course of it, the prizes, trophies and recognitions corresponding to the Fiestas in Honor of Santa Ana 2023 will be delivered, as well as the delivery of the flag to the Fiestas Commission 2024; although at the end of it, RaffShow will liven up the end of the festivities.
