The Arona Investigating Court has ordered the provisional detention of a man arrested for being responsible for a total of seven robberies, six of them committed with force and another with violence, in hotels and tourist apartments.
The alleged perpetrator, a resident of the municipality of Arona and without a stable known address, has numerous police records for crimes against property. He would climb up the façade to access the rooms, sometimes meeting the residents inside.
The investigation of the facts has been carried out by the Judicial Police of the South Tenerife Police Station. This also attributes his alleged participation in the last five months, in thirteen robberies with force and two robberies with violence. Once the police proceedings were sent, the duty court ordered the entry into pretrial detention.
