The mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez (CC), signed yesterday the decrees for the delegation of functions among the councilors that make up the new municipal government group in the capital of Tenerife, an organization chart made up of seven men and seven women, that its structure does not vary in terms of the distribution of areas. With respect to the previous mandate, CC cedes Culture and the Development Society to the PP.
Thus, Carlos Tarife (PP), in addition to the first tenure of Mayor, will take charge of the Area of Public Services and Sustainability. Alfonso Cabello (CC) will be in charge of the Presidency and Treasury and Patrimony, with competencies in Technology, Transparency, Data Protection, Organization (includes Modernization, Internal Regime and Data Quality), Citizen Attention, Statistics and Territorial Demarcation, Consumption, Administration Internal, Press Office, Protocol, District Support, Heritage Maintenance and Management, Treasury (financial policy, budget management, tax management and collection) and Contracting. Add to all this the Centro-Ifara District. Likewise, Zaida González (PP) will assume the Area of Territorial Planning, with the sectorial competences in the field of Territorial and Urban Planning, which entails the first vice-presidency and the appointment of director-counselor of the Municipal Urban Planning Management. González also assumes the Salud-La Salle district.
Gladis de León (CC) will occupy the areas of Security, Mobility and Universal Accessibility, with specific competencies in Security, Emergencies and Rural Infrastructures of Anaga, the latter district for which he will also be responsible.
Rosario González (CC) will be in charge of the Social Policies Area, with competences in Education, Youth and Social Care (which entails the appointment of president of the Municipal Institute of Social Care -IMAS-). Likewise, Alicia Cebrián (PP) assumes the area of Quality of Life and Sports, while Santiago Díaz (PP) will be the mayor delegate for Culture and Historical Heritage; In addition, he adds the presidency of Ofra-Costa Sur. The PP closes its powers with Carmen Pérez as Councilor for Employment, Commerce and Tourism, which entails managing the Development Society.
CC completes its areas with Javier Rivero in charge of Infrastructures, Works and Citizen Participation, in addition to the Southwest district; Evelyn Alonso assumes Mobility, Transportation (including urban buses and taxis) and Accessibility; José Alberto Díaz-Estébanez will be the Councilor for Housing; Purificación Dávila maintains Human Resources, Equality and Affective-sexual Diversity, and Javier Caraballero will be the mayor delegate of Fiestas.
