The Local Government Board of San Cristóbal de La Laguna has denied permission for the celebration in the municipality of Reggaeton Beach Festival 2023 Tenerife on July 1 and 2, as confirmed to this newspaper by the La Laguna City Council.

The Consistory has indicated that the festival has unfavorable reports from different municipal areas. “It is considered that there are not sufficient security guarantees for an event of these characteristics to develop normally, due to the expected volume and the conditions of the venue,” they point out. And they add that “the characteristics of the road in the area discourage the agglomeration of people and vehicles due to traffic safety.”

A new that has surprised the organization of the RBF, which assures that “we have not been notified, by any means, that we have a problem with road safety, much less that they have denied us the license. If on Monday they tell us that we have a road problem, we will see what it is and how we can correct it”.

Likewise, the promoters point out that the festival has not been organized fast and runningbecause “we have been in communication with the City Council for more than six months and more than two with the administrative documentation processes.”

Nor would they understand that said notification came within 15 days of the celebration of the event. “We are going to carry out the festival in La Laguna because the City Council contacted us to do it in their municipality,” they say from the RBF organization.
