The filming of Game of Thieves 2, starring the famous actor Gerard Butler, moved today to the neighborhood of La Salud, where several of its streets will see restricted parking. The recordings will take place between half past six in the afternoon and six in the morning, so that the affectation for the neighbors will be as little as possible. Thus, as reported by the Santa Cruz Local Police through their social networks, on the occasion of this filming, specific traffic cuts will be carried out on Enrique de Anaga and Princesa Guacimara streets.
Specifically, parking is prohibited on these two roads, and also on Princesa Dácil, Mencey Bencomo, Junonia, Benahore and Princesa Guayarmina streets. The ban extends from today until tomorrow the 12th, when filming ends.
This same week, this filming, which will last until July, once again left a curious scene in the capital, and that is that the corporeal that bears the name of the city in the lake of the Plaza de España, appeared completely covered with a net.
As DIARIO DE AVISOS learned, this fix was made because the corporeal of Santa Cruz entered into the camera shot, the way in which a shot is framed or the camera is positioned to capture a specific scene. And, of course, the plot of the film takes place in the American city of Los Angeles and European destinations such as Belgium, Marseille and Montenegro.
The truth is that the capital of Tenerife has become, since last April, a Hollywood set thanks to the arrival in the capital of film production. And one of the things that has attracted the most attention is how the city has been transformed to host the filming.
From a new jewelry store located where the Mr. Wonderful store was located on Del Castillo street, to a police booth at the intersection of Teobaldo Power and Imeldo Serís streets. The truth is that passersby who do not know that it is the set of the film could feel very surprised by all the changes that have taken place in the main streets of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
But in addition to the streets of the capital, a ship in the Dársena Pesquera del Puerto de Capitalino has become the nerve center for the development of production, with continuous movement. From the props, the cameras, or the numerous high-end vehicles that are being used in the filming, they enter and leave the area towards the different recording points. Yesterday, in one of the esplanades of the dock it was possible to verify how tests were carried out in the use of cars or simulated firearms.
