A total of 52 young people representing the different provinces and autonomous cities of all Spain will aspire to be crowned this coming Saturday, June 3, starting at 9:00 p.m. in the public square of Puerto de Santiago as the new Mister International Spain 2023, thus taking the relay of Daniel Lorente who won this award last year in Pineda del Mar (Barcelona).
Yesterday, May 30, the presentation of the contest was held in said plaza of Puerto de Santiago, with 52 participants dressed in the typical costume of their place of origin and in which the acting mayor Emilio Navarro was present, as well as the president of the organization Nuestra Belleza España, Cres del Olmo and the acting Councilor for Fiestas, Sergio Mendoza, who did not hesitate to praise the promotion that an event of these characteristics has for a municipality like Santiago del Teide.
During the days prior to the contest, the 52 applicants are on the island carrying out a multitude of activities, such as physical tests, talent tests or social media management tests, to demonstrate everything they know how to do.
The Mister Internacional España contest was born in 2013 as a result of the disappearance of the former Mister España and, in recent editions, it has become the most important male beauty benchmark contest in our country. The winner of this edition will represent Spain in Mister Mundo.
The most mediatic misters of recent years have emerged from this contest, such as Alejandro Nieto (winner of the contest in 2015 and winner of Telecinco’s “Survivientes” in 2022) or Sergio Ayala (first and only Spaniard to win the Mister Model International contest back in 2019, among others (such as Vicent Llorach, the first and only Spaniard to win the Manhunt International in history in 2018).
