He PSOE won the elections in the Tenerife city council of Tegueste by a single difference vote, the one that allowed him to overcome Canarian Coalition.
Socialists and nationalists added 1,873 and 1,872 votes, respectively, out of a census of 9,442 people. Both have obtained six acts of councillors.
After the 28M elections, the PP completed the corporation with two councillors, and +I+D Tegueste, United Sí Podemos and Ahora Tegueste-Nueva Canarias, with one each.
The Tegueste socialist group has published on social networks that it is time to “listen” to the militancy, the neighbors and all the formations that have obtained representation and are “willing to sit down with us.”
Ana Rosa Mena (PSOE), who governed in this term with Sí Se Puede and Ahora Tegueste-Nueva Canarias, emphasizes that “it is time to prioritize the common good, the progress of Tegueste and put aside personal or party claims ”.
The 28-M elections produced other adjusted results, such as in the Cabildo de El Hierro, where Javier Armas’s Agrupación Herreña Independiente (AHI) snatched the presidency from the PSOE of his brother Alpidio Armas by 21 votes: 1,574 compared to 1,553.
In the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the CC candidacy led by Oswaldo Betancort prevailed over that of the PSOE of Dolores Corujo by 69 votes: 14,390 compared to 14,321.
