
The candidate of Canarian Coalition (DC) to the Presidency of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Rosa Davilacommitment to the consumption of zero kilometer (Km0) products to boost the local economy and reduce external dependency. In a visit made yesterday to the Nuestra Señora de África Market, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife -in which she was accompanied by Dámaso Arteaga, Juan Antonio Alonso and Isabel de Esteban, members of her candidacy-, she indicated that “It is necessary to renew the impulse from the Cabildo to the primary sector, not only betting on all the markets and markets of Tenerife, but also on products from the Canary Islands and our Island.”
Dávila claimed that the Nuestra Señora de África Market is an emblematic place where you can buy different local products. “These people make a daily effort to bring their merchandise and make it available to the public. We are talking about a strategic sector that constitutes a basic axis of our economy, “said the nationalist candidate.
To achieve that goal, Rosa Dávila explained that her government program contemplates the implementation of an exclusive Generational Relay Plan for the primary sector. In the same “incentives for the hiring of women and young people are contemplated as well as aid aimed at the self-employed and small and medium-sized companies linked to the primary sector. We have planned a game of two million euros per year for the Generational Relief Plan, which has to be a turning point for the primary sector of Tenerife ».
