Abubukakaone of the most recognized humorous groups in the entire Canary Islands, has suffered the wrath of the sacristan of the Parish of Our Lady of the Rosaryin War Valleywho does not hesitate to call them “assholes” or “bad guys” for one of their numbers.
Abubukaka had planned his intervention in the lagoon town last Friday May 5 with a show entitled ‘The best of the worst’. On stage, the collective took the opportunity to rescue some of their most popular sketches.
Thus, they recreated an assumption boxing match between the patron saints of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, andthat is to say, the virgins of Candelaria and del Pino. And that’s when the controversy starts. From among the public a voice arises that harshly recriminates the comedians for their intervention.
According to witnesses to the act, the public itself rebelled against that man, who turned out to be the sacristan of the parish in the town of Tenerife. In fact, on social networks you can see numerous messages of support for comedians.
insults and prayers
But the religious has also wanted to make use of the communication platform that the networks suppose to show his version of the facts. Through a video that has spread like wildfire since last Saturday, the sacristan has begun apologizing for the “embarrassing show” he gave in town the night before.
Of course, forgiveness is asked of the public because during the next three minutes that the video lasts, the religious dedicates a whole series of iexpletives to Abukaka such as “scoundrels”, “bad guys”, “disheartened” or “assholes”.
“I’m sorry that those people didn’t get up and slap you”, says the sacristan who understands that the comedians’ show is such an offense to culture and traditions. “You are no better than those politicians who mess with the traditions of their people instead of defending them,” he says.
In fact, the City Hall of La Laguna also receives in this message since the sacristan questions the hiring of a group of “assholes” that “he doesn’t know how to make a fucking good joke”. “I am ashamed of that council that is paid,” she insists.
In fact, it advances that if the consistory does nothing “He will pay for it at the polls because you are idiots”. “I will do what is in my power to offend you as you offended me“, advises the religious from La Laguna before closing with the promise to pray for Abubukaka “so that their consciences change.”
It is not the first time that Abubukaka is immersed in this type of issue with part of the religious public. It has happened to them before with that same show and also in La Laguna during a performance within the program of events for the Fiestas del Cristo they received criticism for their show.
