New sports infrastructures and leisure areas, improvements in accessibility and comfort, more investment in employmenteducation, culture and sports are the bets of Josefa Mesa and the PSOE for revalidation the Guía de Isora Mayor’s Office. The councilor, who is running for the first time as a candidate, presented those who make up the electoral list in an act that was attended by the president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martín, and the Minister of Tourism, Héctor Gómez. All three, Isorans.
Jsefa Mesa thanked the neighborhood associations and groups for their collaboration during this “so complex” mandate. The mayor stressed that “we have a very active society and we want to continue working for each of our towns and for their future, so that people can live and enjoy Guía de Isora.”
That Guía de Isora is a benchmark in many aspects is something that the speakers who preceded Josefa Mesa agreed on. The Isorana councilor and candidate for mayor made it clear that “Guía de Isora has not only been a leading municipality in sustainability, especially during the last four years, but also in quality investments, with an exemplary model in terms of respect for the environment, the coast and heritage”.
Pedro Martín, president of the Cabildo and candidate for re-election, recognized the “great work carried out by Josefa Mesa”, who took over from him in 2019, and highlighted “the support of the Cabildo to all the municipalities of the Island, with territorial balance and a vision positive future. In the case of Guía de Isora, Martín referred to improvements in health, roads, sustainability and the firm commitment to opening the community residence for the elderly in the municipality.
Héctor Gómez, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, defined Mesa as “a tireless worker, with extraordinary discipline and transparency in team leadership.”
Nira Fierro, number one of the PSOE for Tenerife to the Parliament of the Canary IslandsI affirm that “Part of the successes of the Socialist Party at the island level are due to the spirit of Josefa Mesa, for her honesty and her capacity for dialogue.”
