The spokesperson for PSOE in Holy Cross, Patricia Hernández accuses the mayor, the nationalist José Manuel Bermúdez, of resubmitting his playground projects “without a single advance.” The former mayor indicates that it was she who announced new themed play areas for the capital in July 2020.
«Bermúdez has appropriated the playground projects announced at the time, for which reason he has lied about their origins and their authorship. It already seems sad to us that year after year, I recycle the same infographics before each electoral process, but the step taken today (yesterday), to resubmit a project already approved by me in July 2020, we find it ridiculous”says Hernandez.
The candidate for mayor of Santa Cruz for the Socialist Party comments that the CC candidate “seems to trust that people have a bad memory”, although, she adds, “he forgets that everything is posted on the internet.” “You only have to do a Google search to find out that those seven parks that she has announced were presented, along with 14 others, on July 10, 2020 in the same press room.”
Patricia Hernández has also denounced the “inactivity” and “lack of diligence” shown by the current government team (CC, PP and the mayor of Cs Evelyn Alonso). «When we presented that same project more than three years ago, we had everything planned so that, between three and six months, we would have the facilities available to the children of Santa Cruz. How is it possible that they have not done anything in all this time and have the little shame to present it as something new?
For his part, the socialist councilor José Ángel Martín expresses that “we have reached this far”. He points out that those parks were an electoral promise “of a candidate who does fulfill what she promises”. “We will be the ones who carry out the playgrounds after the May elections,” adds Martín.
