The Santa Cruz Prosecutor’s Office Tenerife requests a sentence of nine years in prison for a man for sexually abusing a minor in Santa Cruz of Tenerifein a situation of helplessness, and who also became pregnant.

The minor had a pregnancy of more than three months of gestation and the facts were reported to the National Police by her guardian since she had been declared helpless by the General Directorate for the Protection of Children and the Family of the Ministry of Employment, Policies Social and Housing Government of the Canary Islands.
The Prosecutor’s Office considers that the facts constitute a crime of sexual abuse of minors and also requests the prohibition of approaching less than 500 meters from the victim and communicating with her, plus another nine years of probation.
Likewise, it must compensate the victim with 1,000 euros for moral damages through the General Directorate for the Protection of Children and the Family of the Ministry of Employment, Social Policies and Housing of the Government of Canary Islands plus the amount determined in execution of sentence.
The trial will be held next Monday, at 11:30 a.m., in the sixth section of the Provincial Court.
