The girl Ione Díaz Serna was chosen this afternoon Children’s Queen of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, during the gala held at the Fairgrounds. Her fantasy, titled “Soñar con los ojos abiertos” and designed by Daniel Pagés, represents McDonald’s and El Día-la Opinión de Tenerife.
The four ladies-in-waiting that make up her court are, in this order, first lady-in-waiting, Paola Bello Navarro; second maid of honor, Nayara Plasencia Mesa; third maid of honor, Carla López Alonso; and fourth maid of honor, Iraya Hernández Pérez.
The contest had the participation of 13 applicants and as presenters were Clementina, Sergio, Naisha, Daniela and Joel, who were in charge of giving way to what happened in the almost two hours of a show intended for the smallest of the home, but also designed for the whole family.
The appearance of the candidates for Infant Queen was divided into three blocks, in which the choreographic group En Paralelo Danza performed before presenting the first five applicants for Infant Queen; For its part, the evolutions on stage of Loli Pérez was the hostess of the second block that presented the following four girls with their fantasies, and to end the parade of the following four candidates, and it was preceded by the performance of Odali’s choreography .
The jury in charge of choosing the new queen of Carnival was made up of Cristo Rodríguez Torres, fashion and leather clothing technician; Elena González Ramírez, designer and instructor of creative and fantasy crafts; Beatriz de la Rosa Galván, fashion designer; Pedro Mengíbar González, president of the Cultural Hall of the Carnival of Santa Cruz; Marta Rodríguez Díaz, journalist and presenter for Televisión Canaria; Noemí Marcelino Ortega, costume designer for the MQP show, and Alejandro Fuertes García, actor for Timaginas Teatro and theater teacher.
María Vidal Conesa, staff of the Autonomous Organization of Fiestas (OAFAR), acted as secretary, with voice but no vote, having Nicolás Quintana Plasencia as notary of the act designated by the Illustrious College of Notaries of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
